“Our opinions are a projection of our perceptions.”

Our opinions are the projections of our perceptions. Perceptions arise from the state we are in at that moment. The next question is: how are perceptions born? The answer is layered. I can only speak to how mine are formed.

I observed every day that I do learn consciously, unconsciously, and many a time it’s kind of jolting you out of your slumber, or it’s very subtle, and yet powerful. This learning phenomenon became automatic, and I began to seek it. I realized that learning is fundamental to existence, growth, and sustenance.

From what we learn, we carve ourselves and become what we are. This becoming is a blend of multifarious elements, starting with principles, and without an end. This learning is dynamic, and changes as frequently as we intend it to change.

I realized that this learning of mine, and in the form and style that I learn, builds the fundamental framework or structure upon which situations will bounce, and perceptions are formed. Then these perceptions, in some manner, come to the surface as opinions.

Therefore, when I realized this entire happening, I wrote the quote about which very succinctly encapsulates everything I wanted to say about “opinions”.
