“Planned consistency to improve is the change mantra.”
My early career days were filled with learning, stumbling, getting up, and growing. I had to learn many things to keep pace with my work commitments. At times I used to get overwhelmed with what I needed to accomplish and this used to cause stress and tension. This continued and I could not see any end in sight.
One day as I was sitting at my office desk and thinking about how to complete a particular task that required me to have some new learning, it suddenly occurred to me that there has to be a structured way of learning. Then I realized that the onus of learning in a structured manner was with me and I had to do something about it.
I started to plan my learning in a very simple manner and tried my best to adhere to the schedules. I could see that I was improving in my efficiency and was able to complete my tasks on time.
Planning my learning and being consistent with learning did give me lots of good and desired results. The next step of this process was that I could manage to foresee my learning requirements and align them with my career aspirations. This gave me a very compelling reason to sustain my effort.
Today as I write, I thank my lucky stars for helping me to realize this quote completely.
