“Are we ticking off our perceptions or making decisions?”

We take decisions in life. Its required and, in one sense, becomes mandatory. In fact, if we really observe, we will take numerous decisions during a day. Each one is different from the other. This also includes modified decisions depending on situations and circumstances. I am too a product of the same process. It was only at times that some important or different or big decisions were to be made, but for most part of the day, it was normal routine decisions. This made me wonder a bit. I started to ask myself about the type and quality of decisions that I have been taking as life seemed to be going in loop and routine. One important question I asked was, What is a decision, and how am I arriving at them?

As part of my so-called decision-making, I realized that many times I used to just tick off a perception and call it a decision. This was because of the way I perceived the various evaluation elements and their impact on my thinking. This occurrence was a lot more when it came to routine decisions, and later I realized that the required depth in thinking to arrive at a decision was kind of depleting, and I suddenly woke up as if from a deep slumber. Later, I realized that a decision is something that is derived from the perceptions of the situation and circumstances and not just ticking off a perception.
