Write about your true self in pen and the rest in pencil.

A few years ago, I was reading and reflecting on change and its impact.   I should admit that it was one of the changing moments for me. I realized that every day we can change ourselves and become better than we were yesterday. It was so inspiring for me to know that I can change daily. By this time in life, I had clearly understood that internal change is very important and we should constantly be aware of ourselves.

The changes were happening within me at different levels. At one level, they had to do with perceptions, habits, and outlook. Aspects that weren’t so deep-rooted seemed to be changing faster and multiple times as well. I could see this happening when I learn new things or when I upgrade my knowledge. Such changes were, in one sense, temporary, as they could change again in the future.

At a more fundamental level, changes were happening to my beliefs and faith. It did take more time, more introspection, and a stronger will to effect the change. This is when I realized that aspects like faith, belief, principles, and values that we believe in have a sense of permanence.

In due course of time, the above quote came to me as an insight that helped me to feel happier, better, and more inspired to change myself.
