The quality of your thoughts determines the quality of your action.

The thought-to-action connection is very powerful and one of the core requirements of our life. We are designed to act on our thoughts.

During my early days, though the thought-to-action phenomenon was constantly happening, I did lack awareness of it.  As self-awareness grew, first I realized the existence of a pattern that used to repeat itself with an alarming accuracy level. I came to know that it is called a “Habit”. For example, the habit of riding my bike. I realized that I drove my bike and navigated traffic, in the same manner, every time.

Likewise, I discovered that I am doing a lot of things with a great level of accuracy daily. I realized that most of them were habits that were in an auto mode executing by themselves.

I started to dwell on the question of how habits are formed. I started to understand at a deeper level how habits are formed, and it became evident that when an action is repeatedly performed, a habit is created. Every time a certain situation or circumstance arises, the habit is automatically put into action and the task is executed.

Then the question is about the connection between habit and the quality of output. I realised that if one were to develop productive habits like time management, or attention to detail, it has a direct impact on the quality of output.

This led me to embark on a journey of learning, becoming more self-aware about my habits, modifying them, and improving them as I knew that it impacts the quality of output.
