Every day we rise in the morning, complete some tasks, and retire to rest after a day’s work. This was my routine, and I think more or less would be the routine for most of us.
During my regular walks one day, I got this question suddenly: “How am I able to do the tasks that I am currently doing?” As I continued my walk, many different thoughts were attempting to find an answer to this question. After a while, I realized that “competency (which is the combination of knowledge, skill, and attitude) is what makes it happen. Being the HR professional that I am, I extrapolated this thought to an organization scenario, and thereto, surprisingly, I realized that its competencies of myriad variety serve as the critical input to completion of tasks that drive business success.
