“The “I” and “The Want” are the root cause of spiritual digression.”

I distinctly remember writing this quote. It was a day when for some unknown reason, I felt very restless and disturbed since I woke up. This discomfort stayed with me the whole day and I did try to find out the reasons but in vain. Later I decided to let it go and not think much about it. When it was almost dinner time that evening, I was sitting on the balcony of my house and aimlessly looking out at the trees in front of me. Suddenly some of my unsatiated desires and the image that was attached to my desires surfaced out of nowhere. It was a tumultuous moment. I just let things happen and became a spectator. This is when I realized that wants and the feeling of “I” did cause digression as it occupied my entire day. That night I had a blissful sleep.
